Summer Vacation Photo 2012

Last summer, I didn’t even own a cell phone. I know, it’s hard to believe! But this year, I have a great phone with a fabulous camera, and I plan on taking lots of pictures  with it, especially on my vacation.

With my “summer” holidays only a few short weeks away, I thought it would be the perfect time to really learn how to take some great photos using my cellphone. So, I signed up for a month-long course from the wacky (and amazing) people at Photojojo. It’s called Phonography 101, and only costs $10 US.  They even give you a $5 gift card when you finish, so it almost pays for itself.

Once you sign up, they email you a lesson twice a week.  Each lesson contains tips to using your cellphone’s camera to get photos you never even thought were possible. And with each tip comes a fun lesson so you can practice what you’ve just learned. It’s photography basics with a focus on your phone!

Honestly, I can’t wait until Wednesday to see what the first lesson is all about.  If the photos I take are good, I’ll post them. (If not, I’ll probably post them, too, but I won’t be bragging.)

If you’re thinking about taking the course, sign up soon. You must register before the 1st of each month. (I’ve been waiting since April 2nd!) Writing is just one part of my creative life. It’s all about inspiration and finding ways to express yourself. Why not give this a try with me? Drop by my Facebook page to see the results and let me know what you think.
