And the challenges begin. After a very successful launch, the YA Buccaneers are ready to start a few fun challenges, and we’d love for you to participate as well!
First up for me is the Reading Mutiny Challenge. Eight wonderful adventure-themed books are ready for the picking. All you have to do is choose one, read it and then write a review on your own blog, or post on Goodreads. You’ll gain entries into a fabulous draw with every book you read and review. I’m going to read one of the books and post a review here once I’m done. Drop by our Reading Mutiny Challenge page to find out what books we’ll be reading, and how to enter the draw!
The second—-and even more fantastic event—–happens this Wednesday night (July 17/13) at 8pm EDT. Join me on Twitter for a Word Sprint! I’ll be there leading up to the starting time, posting about writing and doing the Word Sprint, but the more, the merrier. What’s a Word Sprint? It’s a set block of time (30 – 60 minutes), where you’ll try to write as much as you can on your WIP, and then post how many words you’ve written at the end. Can you do 100? 500? 1000? 2000? (Oh, come on…..that’s impossible! ;-))If you want to participate on Twitter, make sure you follow @YABuccaneers, mention @yabuccaneers in your tweet and use the hashtag #YABwordsprint. You can also like us on Facebook, mention us in your status updates and use the hashtag #YABwordsprints. That’s it….easy as walking the plank!
I hope to see you tomorrow, mateys!
